3 Actions To Help You Walk By Faith
We have been given the gift of sight to visually experience the world around us. But God did not intend for our sight or our other senses to be the way we discern truth. Rather when we walk by faith, it really does change the way we live. Rather than being dependent on our senses we can tap into insights that only God can give.
Three actions you can take today to help you walk by faith
Actions speak louder than words to others, and also to ourselves. May you be blessed as you take these actions to grow closer to the Lord and walk by faith.
Every day we can chose to hand over our dreams, goals, burdens and cares of this world.
Sometimes for me it is simply asking the Lord to be with this day and to give me the eyes to notice what He wants me to see.
When we cling to these worldly distractions, we don’t leave room for God’s transformative power to shape our lives. God quietly beckons us to lose our lives so that He can lavish on us a life filled with his goodness and promises.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV May we remember this promise as we surrender our lives, dreams and hopes to Him.
Life can be quite distracting, can’t it?!
Spending time with God in prayer and in His Word can help us take a step back and look at the bigger picture.
We can be reminded that the God who controls the winds and the waves is also controlling every details of our lives.
Another thing I am working on, is creating a morning routine. Do you have one that helps you start your day on the right foot? If so, I would love to hear it ([email protected]) and I will share mine with you too! 😊
Stand on God’s promises
The word of God provides us a solid ground to stand on. The Bible is full of promises that are solid and firm. When our world seems to be crumbling around us, and we wonder where we can find a place that will not give way or collapse on us. We can find that in His word. Staying connected to that anchor of our soul and I don’t know about you, but a steady diet of God’s promises gives me hope and energy for this journey.
“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.”
Hebrews 10:23 ESV
If you are new to studying God’s promises, the Proverbs scripture early and this Hebrew one are GREAT promises of God to start with. Read them. Memorize them. See how those promises fit in your life.
Cheering you on and lifting you up,
